The East Montpelier & Calais Historical Societies Will meet Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 at 7 PM at the Four Corners Schoolhouse in East Montpelier. This will be East Montpelier Historicql Society's annual meeting, with brief reports and the election of officers. Program will be "The History of the County Road" with Peter Harvey.
EMFD Open House for new station Saturday, Sept. 25, 1:00 p.m. – 5 p.m. Rain date on Sunday Oct 3.

The Planning Commission (PC) is hosting 3 meetings in order to hear from each of the various committees/boards/commissions at work throughout the town. The PC is also wanting to provide and
receive some feedback on some planning related matters. Each meeting will start at 7 pm and be held at the new fire station building in the village. See calendar for details about each meeting.

Community News:

My wife, Betsy Unger and I have a farm stand (Yellow Dog Hill Farm Stand) at 1898 County Road that sells blackberries and veggies. We donate all the proceeds from the stand to organizations that are researching treatments and cures for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, of which Betsy suffers.


Rally Day: Saturday, September 11, 12–9 p.m.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy at Rally Day, so come spend a few hours with your friends and neighbors. Participate in the parade, join in fun games, share a community walk, and community potluck dinner. Stay tuned for surprise events!
